DAYLIGHT SAVING.
Sir Having soon in tlio newspapers a short time ago a discussion re the eiTcct of military training on the time that is now devoted to sport, it occurred to mo that it would He a rather considerate act on the part of the Government to pass tho Daylight Saving liill. At any rate it would go a long way to compensate for the Saturday afternoons which will ho taken up with the military training.. If' the cricket, rowing, tennis, etc., clubs were to unite and petition Parliament to pass tho Daylight Saving Bill, I am sure it would grant their wishes. Tho clubs nnir'it to now, because it is of little us? when half tho summer has gone. Hoping you will grant space to publish these few lines.—l am. ctc., TENNIS PLAYER. Wellington, August IG, 1911.
