CARTERTON NOTES.
On Monday the local branch of the Wairarapa Egg Circle sent away 280 dozeu eggs, and tho Jrasterton branch S.lO dozen, making a grand total for the week of 1110 down. It. i* hoped that arrangements will be completed for tho Greytown branch lo begin operations next week.
The Ralefield and Taratahi Co-operativo Dairy Companies reopen for the season on Monday next.
Mr. Of. 11. Allen has been appointed chairman of the Carringtou School Committee, Jlr. Clarkson (treasurer), and Mr. Anderson (secretary).
Messrs. Scott Bros., who installed tho Carterton waterworks, havo secured the contract for the Jlartoti sewage works, and Jfr. R. Scott was in Carterton on Saturday. He sccuTed his old foreman, Jfr. P. jfacnamara, of Carterton, to assist in carrying out tho work
