OBITUARY.
REV, J, GUINNESS ROGERS. By Teleerrnnb-Presc As-miation-Onpyrisht (Rec. August 21, 11 p.m.) London, August 21. The Rev. James Guinnsss Rogers, D.D., the well-known Congregational minister, is dead, aged 88. The deceased clergyman at different times filled man.Vimportant offices in the Congregational Church, and in 187-1 was elected chairman of the Congregational Union. He was in past years recognised as one of the chief fighting forces is. the Eres Churches on behalf of Disestablishment and a national undenominational system of education. He was a friend of the late Dr. Dale, and undertook with him a famous Disestablishment tour in the 'seventies.
