M'Vay arrived from Napder last night to attend a. meeting of the committee set up by the New Zolland Racing Conference to consider its _ constitution and tho government of racing generally, and report upon the feasibility of improving tho same. Tho business of tho committee is'really to go into tho question of better representation of country clubs ' oil the conference a fid on metropolitan committees. The other members of tho ' committee are: The Hon. J. J). Ormond, tho Hon. 0. Samuel, the Hon. E. Jlitchelson, Messrs, E. E. Guinness, It.. 11. Nolan, W. J-j. Bidwill, 11. Friedlander, and Sir Geo. Clifford. / Mr. 11. U. I'harazyn has leased. Laughter, a five-year-old son of Merriwoe and Variety, to W. Stone. Laughter is a'full-brother to Operetta, Comedian, Ora l'insent, and l''un. Mr. M. Foley and Mr. H. H. Hayr left by tho Tofua on Tuesday on a round trip ' of tho Islands and Sydney. Before their departure (says the "Star") Jlr.
