Many tributes have been paid by the press and public men t'o Cardinal Moran as a great churchman, administrator, and statesman. Numerous messages of sympathy have been received. Tho . Stato Government, as a mark of vcspcct, is issuing a special black-bor-dcTcd "Gazette." By the death of Cardinal Moran, Archbishop Kelly, ,who was appointed his coadjutor, succeeds him as Archbishop. This does not mean of itself that ho will becomo a cardinal, that resting entirely with the Pope. INTERMENT IN ST. MARY'S. (Rcc. August 17, 9.5 p.m.) Sydney, August 17. Permission has been obtained to inter the body of tho late Cardinal Moran in St. Mary's Cathedral. A constant vigil is being kept by tho Cardinal's body and will continue until tho interment on Saturday.
