AN ANNUAL "OCCASION." The boys of Croydon Preparatory School held their third annual boxing compctition on Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Napier Mac Lean acted as referee, and congratulated Mr. Jackson on the excellent way in which he had trained the boys. The following are the results:— Bantam Class.—First round: Whito beat Auderson, Knox beat Gore, Holmes brat 11. Young, Newbigin beat Laurenson. Second, round: Whito beat Knox,' Newbigin boat Holmes. Final: Newbigin beat White. Light-weights.—First round: Abraham beat I?. Young, Fuller bent Baldwin, J. Johnston brat R. Johnston, Ward beat Turner. Second round: Fuller beat Abraham, J, Johnston beat Ward, I. l'earco beat C. Morchba.uks, W. Johnston beat P. Hall. Third round: J, Johnston beat Fuller, I. Pearce beat W. Johnston. Final: L.- Pearce beat J. Johnston. Middle-weights.—First round: Brandon beat Soupcr, Ellis beat E. Harding, J. Harding beat Bayley, Camcrom beat Vavasour. Second round: Brandon beat Kills, Cameron bent J. Harding. Finals: Ellis beat Cameron. Heavy-weights.—First ronnd: Stott beat Dalziel), Hume boat Duucau. 1 Final: Hume beat Stott. A Challenge Cup with a trophy was presented to the v,-inner of eacli division and a silver medal to tho runner-up.
