AN ANNUAL "OCCASION." The boys of Croydon Preparatory School held their third annual boxing compctition on Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Napier Mac Lean acted as referee, and congratulated Mr. Jackson on the excellent way in which he had trained the boys. The following are the results:— Bantam Class.—First round: Whito beat Auderson, Knox beat Gore, Holmes brat 11. Young, Newbigin beat Laurenson. Second, round: Whito beat Knox,' Newbigin boat Holmes. A Challenge Cup with a trophy was presented to the v,-inner of eacli division and a silver medal to tho runner-up.
