"ARE WE GOING TO BE SOJERS?"
JOCKEYS AND STABLE BOYS. (By Telegraph- Association.) Auckland, August 9. Aljout thirty jockeys and stable-boys made a demonstration last night against compulsory.■-military training. They marched up Queen Street singing songs. Tho leader repeatedly cried out: "Are you going to bo sojers?" and (ho chorus shouted "No," The procession also cava vent' to a series of war-cries. On arrival at tlio Drill Shed, where the Highland Rifles were drilling, the non-combatants formed fours, and marched across tho ball, but, the police appearing, they made no further demonstration, (bo nwtical examination pioeeeding quietly.
