KARORI AFFAIRS.
The fortnightly meeting of the Karori Borough Council was held last evening, there being present:—The Mayor (Mr. C. Cathie), and C'ouncillorsß. H. G.. Burn, W\ T. Hildreth, J. T. Horn, W. A. Bradnock. li. J. Standen, E. M. Anderson, W. H. Nimmo, and A. Hamilton.
The borough engineer reported that the reinforced concrete culvert at Parkvale Road was cc-mpkted, together with tho necessary filling-fn, and the road was now open for traffic.,
A petition was received asking that for the convenience of the school children a request-stop should ba provided on the borough tramway lino at Donald Street, thus dispensing with the etopping-placo at the loop on Church Hill. It was pointed out that the Church Hill loop was a matter of 50 yards from the school, apd that the working of the time-tabls necessitated the ■ retention of the ioop stop. The application of the petitioners n;as accordingly declined. .
