Sir Hartmann Just, Assistant Undersecretary for tho Colonies, will probably succeed Sir Charles. Sir Charles Lucas entered tho Colonial Office in IST", and was appointed to his present post in 1907. Two years ago he paid a visit to Australia and New Zealand. Sir Hartmann Just, who was knighted at the Coronation, was born hi 1854, and received an appointment in tho Colonial Office in 1878. He is pennanont secretary to the Imperial Conference.
