Mr. Lloyd-George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, speaking in the House of Com- 1 mons, 6aid his amendments to the National Insurance Bill would remove the fears that tho hospitals would he financially affected by the new scheme. Largo numbers of the poor who were now dependent on the hospitals would come under tho insurance fund, while further relief would bs afforded by thi extension of sanatoria.
