Masterman. Tho voting was:Mr. C. F. G. Masterman (Liberal) ... 2745 Mr. E. Hoffgaard (Unionist) 2561 Mr. Scurr (Socialist) 131 Mr. C. F. G. Masterman, Under-Secre-tary for Home Affairs, and ono of tho rising lights 011 tho Liberal side, was recently unseated for West Ham North on account of corrupt practices by his election agent. Ho was personally exonerated. The Bethnal Green seat was rendered vacant by Mr. Pickersgill, the sitting Liberal member, accepting a magistracy.
