Tho official estimate of tho New South Wales autnmn and winter lambings coinpares favourably with those of last year. Though 200,000 fewer ewes were mated, and 155,000 fewer lambs were dropped, it is probable that the markings will show an increase of over half a million. In the autumn 7,981,000 lambs were dropped, representing 80 per cent, of the ewes, and it is probable that tho markings will reach 0,977,000, or 70 per cent. In the winter 2,135,000 lambs were dropped, and it is probable that the markings will reach 1,853,000, representing 67 per cent, of the ewes,
