A CORDIAL SEND-OFF.
FAREWELL TO THE IRISH DELEGATES. The Irish delegates—Messrs. Redmond Hazolton, and' Donovan—havo often remarked upon the warmth of tho welcome which lias bsen accorded to them in NewZealand. This was reflected in tho cordial send-off which they were given on leaving for Sydney by the Manuka last evening. Standing on tho wharf were somo 300 or •100 friends and sympathisers, including Sir James Carroll, Mr. Martin Kennedy, tho members of the local committee, and as the gangway was taken in the clarion noteo of a cornet began tho refrain of "Say An Eovoir, but not Goodbye," which was at onco taken up by tho crowd and sung lustily. Following this the cornetist broko into "Como Back to '
Erin," which was also sung by the impromptu choir on tho whnvf. Then, as tho (-trainer begnn to back away, they pang "Killarney," "God Save Ireland, ,, "Aulil Lang Syne," and iinally "God Save the King." On Thursday the delegates ami a number of their friends wore entertained at dinner at tho Royal Oak Hotel by Sir. Georgo Winder, who subsequently entertained his guests at his line resideuco at Maranui.
