.DOMINION COUNCIL; MEETS. '"•' Mr;, H. N. Holmes' presided over . a special' meeting of the New Zealand Football' Association hold last evening. Mr!' J. Paton's appointment as referee in the Canlerbury-Manawaru Brown Shield 'match .was confirmed.' The Canterbury Association ■ wrote advising that, owing to the success which they had achieved in the Otago match, the Canterbury Rugby Union had - refused to let them have a ground for Saturday's match against Mariawatu. They were therefore in the position of having to take up a collection on one of their own grounds. It was Tegrettcd. that nothing could be done in the matter, and it was pointed out that Wellington was in the same position a" few seasons ago. It was also decided that the council take 10 per cent of the gross'takings at the match. ■-->.-...
The Caledonian Club, .Auckland, asked that the suspension of Mr. J.' Seath'be removed. The secretary pointed out that no appeal fee had been- received, and that therefore no action could bo taken.
Mr. J. Iloneysett, lion, secretary of the Tasmanian Football' Association, wrote staling'that the association had agreed to Mr.'Gibbs acting as London representative, and-that-he had duly advised the London Football Association to that effect. The writer stated that there were eight teams in Tasmania, and that he had got all the schools ill Hobart to play Association football. Mr. J. M. Oilier wrote resigning the position of treasurer. The appointment .of a successor was held over till the next meeting of the council. Meantime Mr. Matheson is to bo asked it,ho will accept office. W.F.A. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association was held in tho Y.M.C.A. rooms last evening, when the following correspondence was dealt "with. A letter'was received from-the Auckland Football Association, stating that they wished to send a Fourth Division team lo Wellington, and asking that the Wellington Association should sanction a visit match. It was'decided to arrange a match, details of which to be left to the boys' sub-committee. Tho secretary of tho J.ohnsonville Club wrote stating that' tho Johnsonvillo School team was'ready to playschool matches in town. It" was also stared that the Johnsonville. B team was going to default to Swifts.
The Porirna Sixth Division protested ogamst a. Swift's player:for being over age. This was referred to the boys' subcommittee:
A letter-was received from the Marist Bros. School authorities stating that thev were entering a. 13 team for tho schools' competition. Thei Hovers; Club wrote asking for a transfer for E. Bolton from first to second • division.—Granted. Mr. H.
