KELBURNE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

Th" annual meeting of the Kelburnc contract price was £76b, and other exPresbyterian Church was held last night. Iho Kev. A. C. W. Standage presided. Tho annual report of the session (which was published in Tuesday's Dominion') was adopted. Tho Committee of Management reported that tho outstanding feature of the year was the question of erecting a manse. Iho minister was able to assume occupation at the beginning cf February. The penscs, architect's fees, fencing, etc., have brought the total cost to .-£BSO. To finance tho manse scheme, ■ satisfactory arrangements were mado for a new loan of .£I2OO, out of which was repaid the then existing loan of .£SOO from tho State Guaranteed Advances Office. Tho congregation is uow in possession of a handsome and commodious residence for its minister. Tho treasurer's statement gave room for genuine satisfaction A comparison with tho previous year's accounts showed that tho ordinary collectims had increased from .£ll7 os. Bd. to £Wl os. 2d., and that the contributions to the augmentation fund had increased from ,£SB n=. lid. to .£129 3s. Cd., nearly 50 per cent. Although they ended t'.ie year with a net credit balance of ,£2O 2s. Id , there was about .£9O outstanding in connection with the manse. The committee recommended that a special effort be put forth at an early date to extinguish this liability.

After a short discussion on a suggestion as to the most advantageous system of accounts, this report also was adopted. During the evening references of appreciation of the minister (Rev. A. C. W. Standage, M.A.) were made, and the minister expressed great satisfaction with the new manse, and also praised the work members of the congregation had done on the property.
