FORECAST AND SUMMARY. Present indications are for rain in all parts of the country, easterly and northerly winds, strong to Kale, will probably prevail. Barometric pressure is very unsteady. A temporary rise,in tho north 13 likely to be succeeded by a further fall, while a fall in tho south will precede a steady rise, and southerly winds and cold weather follow for several days. Easterly winds, stronK to gale, with lieayy rain have been experienced northward of East Capo and Kawhia, and moderttto to strong easterly winds thence to Kaikoura and Kokitika, with increasing cloudiness and showers in parta. ■ Moderate nor- v therly wiods and fair weather have prevailed elsewhere, with a falling barometer.
