The milk suppliers of tlin Belvedere Dairy Company helrl their annual reunion at the- sehcolroom on AYeclnosday evening, when there was a lar™o aMentjance, a very enjoyable time being spent. A Maori newspaper is facing published in Carterton. It is understood that it is to lie a monthly publication. Recently a number of local business people asjeert the Masterton tradespeople lor their opinion of Xo-Licenso upon the town. The replies'number 102, and w«e considered at a meeting on Tuesday evening. After they had bciti read and discussed, the following resolutions were carried.—"This nicotine-de-suvs lo thank fno Masterton tradespeople, for replies, to our questions; is satisfied that No-License has improved business and (ho moral lone of that town, and commends their verdict to the serious consideration of our own townspeople." (2) "That the replies from Masterton bo printed and forwarded to all business men throughout tho Soutn Wairarapa electorate." The iirst meeting of the recently-formed branch of the St. John Ambulance Association was held on Wednesday cveniiitr. . . Commissioner W. Gray, of tho" Boy Scouts, is now in the Wairarapa for the purpose of oxplaiaiiifr I he. position of the scout movement in connection with the present defence- scheme.
