The Louisiana sugai planters and producers, examined by the Sugar Trust Investigation Committee of the .House of Representatives, asserted that the reduction of. duties would ruin the domestic production of cane sugar, and free sugar would annihilate the cane and beet industries, A RAILWAY AND COLLIERY • [ ' , ' COMBINE. New York, July 18. A suit has been filed in the Federal Court to compel a bona-fide separation of the Reading Railway and the Reading Coal Company. Tho Government is planning a numbor of similar actions.
