Beryl Gardner, who was one of the victims of the tragedy at Masterton in February last, died last night, a> the result of injuries received. H will be romombored that, on the occasion referred to, the little girl and her brother were severely assaulted by their mother, who then left tho house, ami was subsequently found lying fnco downwards in shallow water, having lirst presumably taken pohou.
