HASTINGS POULTRY SHOW.

(By Tclesraph.—Special Correspondent.! Hastings, July It. Tho eleventh annual show of tho Hastings Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Society was opened in tho Drill Hall this morning, tliero being no fewer than 1100 entries. I/egliorns, orpingtons, and wyandottes arc the principal exhibit', and are representative of tho most noted breeders between Canterbury and Auckland. Tho Fancier Cup, for most points in minoreas, was won by Messrs. Casey Brothers for the second year in succession, and another win will see it become their own. Mr. J. ]•'. Brown got a second "leg in" for the Golden Pencilled Hamburg Cup, his previous win being Inst year. Tho Bantam Cup has boen won outright by Mr. J. Walker, of Mount Eden, Auckland, ha having scored three successive wins. The judges are as under:—Poultry, Mr. A. I'aimer, Timaru; pigeons, Mr. J. Noble, .Sydney; canaries, Mr. J. M. Thomson, Auckland.
