The number of bankruptcies in Wellington city last quarter was nine, as against seven for the corresponding period of 1010. In the judicial district under the jurisdiction of the assignee the number is 33, ns against 50 for 1910.' The combined totals for the. corresponding quarters, therefore, are—l9ll, 42 bankruptcies: 1010, 57.
