(Specially written for The Dominion.) FRIDAY. Lentil Soup. Fish Pudding and Oyster Sauce. Steamed Raisin Pudding. FISH PUDDING One pound of any cold fish; 2oz. boiled rice, 1 tcaspoontul of parsley, i pint of thick white sauce, 2 eggs, pepper, salt, and caycunc. . Break the fish into small nieces, mix with rice, chopped parsley, peppor and salt; thon mix in the. sauce and eggs, pour into a well-buttered mould, and steam gently for 15 minutes. Serve with egg or anchovy sauce. FOR TO-MORROW. Vegetables, stock, neck of mutton, curry powder, cabbage, raspberry jam.

Nathan; best waltzing couple, Miss Asher and Mr. B. Nathan; most original costume, Mr. J. ' Sneddon and Miss Outrim; best-dressed couple, Miss Ritrcnburg and Mr. Scott; 'most comical costume, Miss J. Perkins, Mr. Salek; best fancy skaters, Miss V. Asher and Mr. B. Nathtn; barn dance, Miss V. Asher and' Mr. H. Lees; twostep, Miss Asher and Mr. Bryant. Mr. M'Donald was ths winner of the milo handicap race—a most exciting event. A Dairy Expert. Mrs. Charlotte Barrejl Ware, of the faculty of the Boston University, is the director of the Warelands Dairy School. Two sessions of this school were held last summer, and were so successful that it has been decided to give a, winter course of lectures in the hall of the Twentieth Club of Boston. The course is intended for women who own farms.

On Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. William Smith, whoso silver wedding was celebrated this week, were presented by Cap,tnins C. P. Post and Of. G. Smith, and Messrs. G. Winder, E. J. Hill, R. Grange, nnd A. W. Newton, with a silver salver and a set of silver entree dishes. Mrs. Wall, of Pukerua, leturnetl to her home early in tho week, after some days spent in Wellington. Miss Ulrich (Dunedin) passed through Wellington yesterday on her way to Kapier. At the Masterton musical and elocutionary competitions, Miss Pinches (Wanganui) secured second place in the soprano solo, and with Miss M'Gregor, won tho vocal duet. Miss D. Booth (Nelson) is the guesf of Mrs. Leonard Reid. The eneagement is announced of Mr. J. Hacteill, eldest son of Mr. W. Hartgill, of Dannevirke, to Miss Ethel Riddell, only daughter of Dr. Riddell, of Ti-treo Point, Hawke's Bay. Mrs. O. Nelson, of Napier, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. M'Lean (Hnvelock) and Mrs. Faulknor have been spending some days in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Jobson and Miss Jobson nre leaving, to-day on a visit to Sydney and Melbourne. Mr. and Mrs. Dongas Brewer, of Dunedin, are visiting Napier.
