COURSING.
A meeting of the Wellington Metropolitan Coursiug Club was held at the New Zcalander Hotel. There was a good attendance of members. The secretary roportcit that the recent cup meeting was a success, and that tho club has tliirty hares left over from tho meeting. Mr. A. J. Parsons, the club's hon. judge, was accorded a hearty vote_ of thangs for the very capable manner in which he carried out his duties. Tho club's popular skipper, Mr. P. H. Donoghue, was also thanked for the able manner in which he slipped the dogs. It was decided to hold a meeting on Saturday, July 22, when a stakes for local clogs will be decided. Tho club has decided to make tho entrance feo for the local stakes £\ Is., and they expect a good nomination. A stake for open dogs will also be put on. Dogs that have not won more than X" 10s, in one event can start in the local stake's. The secretary. Mr. J. ,T. O'Donnghue, will bo pleased to give all particulars to intending nominators.
