PEARCE AND ARNST MEET, fly Telccraph— Press Association—Copyricrhl Sydney, July 13. • Arnst and Pearce. -who nro matched to row for the sculling championship of the world, are rapidly approaching their truo form. ' It is stated that Pcarce has greatly improved in stamina, and is now able to complete the- course at high speed. Formerly ho was considered only a good milc-r. Arnst appears to develop a better catch, with a drive and finish as powerful as over. , Yesterday the two men met on the course for the first time, and raced together for two- and a half miles, Pearce being slightly ahead. They left the nacemakers far behind. It is not known whether both men ■were fully extended.
