Brook scored a try for Lands and Survey. ASSOCIATION. DOMINION COUNCIL MEETING. A meeting of the Council of tho New Zealand Football Association was held last evening, Mr. H. N. Holmes presiding. Tho Canterbury Association wrote sug-. gesting July 29 as tho date for tho Brown" Shield match Manawatn v. Canterbury. A letter was also received from tho Manawatu,Association agreeing to..that date. Tho' council approved o't "the ""arrangements, and it was decided to ask tho Now Zealand-Referees' Association to appoint a referee for the match. Both Wellington and W.anganui entered challenges for Brown Shield matches. Ascording to the yules, these matches must' be played in, the order in which they -are received, and therefore Wanganui take precedence. . Baillie and J..- Simpson, are not to be allowed to play for Otogo again owing to misbo haviour whilst on tour.
