Brook scored a try for Lands and Survey. ASSOCIATION. DOMINION COUNCIL MEETING. A meeting of the Council of tho New Zealand Football Association was held last evening, Mr. H. N. Holmes presiding. Tho Canterbury Association wrote sug-. gesting July 29 as tho date for tho Brown" Shield match Manawatn v. Canterbury. A letter was also received from tho Manawatu,Association agreeing to..that date. Tho' council approved o't "the ""arrangements, and it was decided to ask tho Now Zealand-Referees' Association to appoint a referee for the match. Both Wellington and W.anganui entered challenges for Brown Shield matches. Ascording to the yules, these matches must' be played in, the order in which they -are received, and therefore Wanganui take precedence. . '.. • A letter was received tfrom the Otagf Football 'Association in which it was stated that two Otago players, named D. Baillie and J..- Simpson, are not to be allowed to play for Otogo again owing to misbo haviour whilst on tour. It was decided that before the council takes action in the matter the Otago Football Association bo asked ■ to supply . particulars and obtain statements ;frqru the manager of the team,' referee, captain, and also the two players concerned.
The Otago Football -Association for-' ■warded an ■ appeal • from the RoslynWaikare Club asking that tlieir match, against Ravensboiirne bo replayed on the ground that short time was played. The referee's Teport accompanied the report of the , Otajjo ■ football. Association, and after consideration it was decided to take no action-in-the matter.
