Tho Freedom of the City of Edinburgh has been conferred upon Lord Kitchener, Sir Joseph Ward, Prime Minister of New-Zealand,-and Mr. Andrew Fisher, Prime Minister of Australia. Mr. Fisher and Sir Joseph Ward were accorded a splendid reception at the various Glasgow functions. Sir Joseph Ward, at n luncheon at the City Chambers, said New Zealanders would bo pleased to receive the Lord Provost's message of affectionato goodwill. Field-Marshal Lord Kitchener, in receiving tho .Freedom of tho City, remarked that he was particularly pleased to bo associated with Mr. Fisher and Sir Joseph Ward, because he had submitted to their Governments a sclienie of military reorganisation which was now being carried out with, t'ho thoroughness that so notably marked all Australia's and New Zealand's undertakings, SIR J.
