FIRE IN- WILLIS STREET.
About ten minutes to 6 o'clock yesterday morning the Fire Brigade were called out .to suppress an outbreak at Messrs. Wallace and Gibson's building, in 'Willis Street. The firo originated in an unoccupied back room on -the first floor, and was not got under before sonie. damage.had been done. Tho room in which tho fire originated was badly' damaged, and the heat'affected an adjacent unoccupied room. Slight; damage by heat'was also caused to a room on the same floor, occupied by Oliver and Walker,'while Wallace and Gibson's stock was slightly damaged by water. The building is' owned by Mr. Alex. H. Wallace, and is insured in tho Commercial "Union. Office for .£I2OO. The contents are covered; by policies in the National £500, London and Lancashire .£IO3O, and 'Guardian ,£SOO.
