ACADEMY EXHIBITION.
{ The annual sketch exhibition of tlio Academy opens to-day at 2.30, and ,will bo open for a week. Tho sketches sent in are numerous, and tho collection promises to be a'representative one. The exhibition will be open daily (Sundavs excepted) at the Art Gallery in Whitmoro Street, from 10 a.m. to G p.m., and the usual art union will be held, to he drawn next Friday evening at 7.30. The modest sum of sixpence only is being charged for admission, but this does not necessarily represent the value of tho exhibition. It is simply a chargo towards tho expenses.
