Sydney, July 4. In the Coal Vend prosecution case, counsel for the defence contended that the Crown had not proved intent on tho part of tho defendants to restrain trade. It was not proposed to call evidence for the defence- in reply to the Crown.

His Honour requested that a summary of certain evidence bo prepared, and the Court then adjourned until Monday next.
