Seventy thousand packages of fruit and potatoes are awaiting discharge from vessels in port. The traders have petitioned the Board of Trade to intervene. SHIPOWNERS CONCEDE DEMANDS. London, June 26. Ten Glasgow shipowners havo agreed to pay the Seamen's Union rates, and have also consented to recognition of the union and abolition of the Shipping Federation's medical examination.
