The Alexa ran aground on tho south spit on December 12, 1910. Tho plaintiffs claimed that tho Thistle and Harbour Board's tug Togo assisted in getting the vessel off and in keeping lier from bumping into the breakwater. IMemlant contended that it was tho Alexa's own gear which pulled the vessel oIT, but his Honour considered that services rendered, if only in keeping ilie vessel (dear ot tho mole, were of some value in jailing operations. ' On consideration of value of the vessel, he thought >£25(1 was a reasonable sum for the services of the Thistle and Togo, treating .CTo of this as having been earned by the Togo.
