WELLINGTON FOX TERRIER CLUB.
q FIRST ANNUAL REPORT. The first annual report of the Fox Terrier Club of Wellington states:— "Tliero can be no doubt, that, considering our club was only founded on .Tune 1, 1910, just over twelve months ago, it has been most successful, especially in arousing fresh interest amongst the New Zealand fox terrier fanciers and in generally bringing our fancy to the front." There were three distinct, undertakings during the past year which deserve, special mention, adds the report,'the institution of our sweepstakes, the working up of a list of .trophies, and the pftnule hold in May laft. The first-named proved a. complete success from the outset, and the results obtained showed that they were wanted. The largo number of trophies presented are to be competed for at the coming: August show. It is the club's intention to repeat the parade, probably towards the end of the year. Spscial thanks nre tendered tho club's president, Mr. C. B. Ivline, to donors of trophies, etc., and to the press of Wellington and elsewhere. The report also states:—"As far as receipts and expenditure are concerned, we have been cutting things fine, but than, not only have we' had to meet all the heavy expenses of. a newly-formed club, and have also donated a considerable amount towards tho trophy fund, etc., but have had besides all our printing in connection with the sweepstakes done for about five years to come. So our position is very sound indeed, and should even improve during the following years."
