COURSING.
(By Telegraph-Press Association.) Invercargill, June 22. The Coronation meeting of tho Southland Coursing Club was lic-ld to-day. The weather was cold, and the plumpton wet. After the first rounds in the Maiden and Open Stakes it was decided to conclude the meeting and divide the stakes between ■the winners in llio first round, and the stakes were paid out as follow:—A. Fern, .£9 9s. Bd.; F. Malcolm, G. Miller, and W. G. Raines, .£6 Ms. 10d. each; J. Murphy ami .1. Veint, each £5 9s. Bd.; W. Farquharson, M; aud G. D. Baird, Boylan, Jenkins, R. Clark J. Duffy. G. Dunlop, T. Hamilton, J. Jones, Miss M'Cash, W. J. -M'Mahon, R. Ryan, and Smith and lies, each £2 Ms. 10d. Tho meeting was a success financially, and the executive decided to hold another meeting, probably in July.
