Mr. Carmichael, Assistant State Treasurer, told a deputation representing Iho Stoamsliip Owners' Federation and the merchants that tho Government had provided an additional .£160,000 for resumptions in order to reraovo the congestion along tho water-front. In addition to the extensive works already in progress to this end, tha Harhour Trust proposed finishing within fifteen months a road from eighty to a hundred feet wide round the harbour foreshore, from Circular Quay to Kent Street. ■
