$ ON CASTLECLIFF BEACH. (By Telegraph — Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, Juno 11. There is very liltlo further to report in connection with the stranded barqucntine Pelotas. Some of tho crew, who ca'iio ashore uy a life-line, report that tho rudder is broken, but so far as is known, there is no damage to tile hull. The two anchors put out to seaward still hold, and tho vessel is in an easy position, but tho weather is not very promising for floating; operations.

A LATER MESSAGE. (By Telcurapb.—Press Association.) Wannanui, June H Tho barqucntine Pelotas, which w.;nt ashure on Monday night, remains in tho same position on the beach. The vessel is full of water, but the extent of tho damage cannot be ascertained till tho weather moderates. The captain and crew came ashuru tin* Mturnooii. Hopes are held out for the ultimate safety of-tho vessel.
