AFFAIR AT THE EXHIBITION. Some person or persons . perpetrated what is described as "a very mean theft" at the Inhibition during the last day or so. As is known, tlie Commissioners have placed q visitors' book within the building, which guests are asked to sign, also giving their impressions of tho Exhibition. Recently his- fiscsllency tho Governor paid the. Exhibition a visit, and, after signing, wrote a few lines, giving his impressions. Within tho last day or so the leaf on which these were written has boen cut out of the book, and all trace of it has been lost. The Commissioners wish it to bo mentioned tliat, if the leaf is not returned by post before to-morrow morning, the matter will be placed iu the hands of the police.
