THE MAWSON EXPEDITION.
MEETING IN SYDNEY. By TeleßraDli—Press Association—Oopyrinht (Rec. June 14, 0.40 a.m.) Sydney, Juno 13. A citizons' meeting has been held in the Town Hall to further tho objects of Dr. Ma.wson's Antarctic Expedition. The Lord Mayor (Alderman Taylor) presided, and tho Lieutenant-Governor (Lord Chelmsford), Professor David, and others, addressed the meeting. It was decided to start a fund, and to ask tho newspapers to support the movement. Professor David stated that hp hoped to get aid from tho New Zealand Government.
