9 A HINDU PETITION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrieht (Rec. June 13, 9.35 p.mi) London, June 13. A correspondent of the "Daily Hail" states that a monster petition is in circulation amongst Hindus in India for presentation at the Coronation Durbar, praying the King to direct that the supply of beef for .the troops in India may bo obtained from Australia, instead of from local sources. The Hindus are willing that a direct tax should be levied upon them to coverthe cost of cold storage.
