The Licensing Committee sat on Friday and t'be business was put' through in record time, everything being completed within the half hour. The chairman 'stated that the whole.of the hotels had been reported as being conducted very satisfactorily and ho was pleased to hear that this was so. At the social, held in connection with tho opening of the Holy Trinity Sunday School, advantage was taken of Hie occasion to present , Mrs. T. Hughes with a token of appreciation of her services as organist. A suitable present was also made to Miss Scott, a choir member, 'who is leaving.
