A Women's National League deputation asked tho Acting-Premier to-day to impose a fine of £a for tho first offence on qualified voters not using the privilege of tho franchise, and for a second offence a month's imprisonment. Tho Acting-Premier replied that he considered the proposal too harsh, but that some penalty might bo provided.
