Christianity was the root and civilisation the flower liuddin» forth. It was the product, of a Christian spirit. Civilisation without Christianity would bi a doomed thins. They have only to look at the countries that had been reached to what had been done. There was talk. ot the \ellow Peril awhile back, and it China was converted and civilised, they need not fear ll,e Yellow Peril. A lot still remained for the churches to accomplish.
