At the inquest to-day into t'he circumstances attending the death of Robert Stuart Reid, who met his death at the Half-way Bush transformer station yesterday, the Coroner: found that deceased came by his death in an accidental manner, and that.no one was t'o blame. The medical evidenco showed that the shock caused by coming in contact with a live wire had set np vomiting, and deceased being unconscious, the matter had been dravn. into the air passages. A LITTLE GIRL'S DEATH. Dunedin, June 5. A little girl was run down and killed on tho tramline at tho north end of the city this afternoon. Her namo was Th'clma V. Austen. Her father keeps a second-hand shop in George Street. CAUGHT BY THE TRAIN. Taihape, Juno 5. A man -named William Ryan was cut to pieces by a special goods train from tho north, near Taihape, at 10.30 on Friday night. Apparently he was walking homo along the line to his camp when he was surprised by tho train at a cattle stop, in which he becamo entangled. Hβ was run over before he could extricate himself. Deceased leaves a wife and family residing at Shannon. An inquest is proceeding. About half-past 8 o'clock last 'night, Conductor M'Ewan fell off a car in Courtenay Place, and received a severe shaking. He was attended by Dr. Tolhurst, and was afterwards removed to his home. Eugene Mahoney. a single man, residing at 182 Tinakori Road, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday evening suffering from a broken thigh. It appears that about 4.45 p.m. Mahoney was riding on one of the Wcstport Coal Company's drays, driven by Maurice Connor, and wben opposite Pinny's warehouse in Lower Cuba Street lie fell off. The wheel passed over his leg, with the result mentioned. Dr. E. A. Boxer attended the case, and ordered tho patient's removal to tho Hospital.
