L A meoting ■of the Exhibition Sports ■' Committee was held last evening, Mr. ji. ; Marryatt presiding. ■ ' i It was decided, with reference to the ! suggested wrestling and jui-jitsu display, that this item should be struck oft' the i list, as there was no controlling sports i body to which the committee might ap- '■ .peal in tho event of a deadlock between I ■ the performers and the committee. ' Tho date of the "Association Football i Night" at tho Stadium was altered from '< June 13 to June 19. ! It was announced that in consequence i of an intimation from tho Harbour i ' ; Board to the effect that tho amusement i iof roller-skating in the Stadium was ob- [ ijeoted to by the Neuchatel Asphalt Co., [. 'the contractors for the mastic flooring ; iin "J" Shed, who were required to main- ;: -tain tho iloar for a certain period, the 1 'board could not permit skating to be continued in the future. The committee therefore decided to strike out 6kating from the Stadium list. Messrs. R. L. Evatt and B. Keesing wero appointed a sub-committee to report upon a suggestion by Messrs. Aleock and Co. with reference to a tendaye' billiard' tournament to be held in the Stadium. It was definitely decided that the ' athletic sports carnival, fixed for the evening of June 21, in' the Stadium, -should be' held on Coronation Night in-j .■stead, and that arrangements bo made •to secure a large and thoroughly representative gathering. It was decided to put on bowls for Thursday and Fridaj-, and Saturday. afternoon, the Executive Committee to arrange for the star attraction for. Saturday night. Failin? the star attraction aforesaid, bowls will bo, continued. THE ENGLISH PIERROTS. The English Pierrots gave another of tlieir Attractive entertainments at tho Coronation Theatre in the Exhibition ~- Building, last evening, the performance being well attended. This talented company of artists has speedily grown in ■popular favour since the opening of the Exhibition, and with an extensivo and high-class repertoire is able to present its patrons with an infinite variety of excellent'-..programmes. The English Pierrots !:will appear i again this evening. i PICTURES. ' The. Continuous Picture. Show at the Exhibition, shown during the daytime at tho Coronation Theatre, is an attractive entertainment. The programme is a senerous one, full of variety, of excellent quality, nnd fully deserving ti the support ot visitors to the Exhibition.
