The Minister for Customs (Mr. Tudor) denies, the reported lax supervision of meat for export. He states that since the Commonwealth took control the supervision had been much keener, and the result had been a noted great improvement in the quality of the Australian meat arriving in London. Mr. Tudor attributes tho report to the fact that additional stringency of inspection had curtailed the profits of certain exporters.
