HOCKEY.
WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. The match between tho Manawatu B Team, and a team selected from the Wednesday Association, will bo played on tho Basin Reserve this morning, starting nt 11 o'clock. Mr. Gayford will captain tho homo team. Mr. Cusack will act as referee. Hockey enthusiasts—and they number many in Wellington—are being well catered for to-day. At 11 o'clock this morning the Manawatu B team (representative) will meet tho Wellington Wednesday representatives on the Basin Reserve, and at 2.30 p.m. the Manawatu representatives will try conclusions with Wellington at Day's Bay. Steamers will leave tho Ferry Wharf at 1,15 p.m., 2 p.m., and 2.30 p.m. At the Basin Reserve itliis morning a team from the Wednesday Hockey Association will play tho Manawatu B team.
