NATIONAL INSURANCE BILL.
9 PROPERTY OWNERS PROTEST. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyrieht (Rec. June 1, 11.25 p.m.) London, June 1. The Property Owners' Protection Association, has resolved to make a vigorous protest against the clause in Mr. LloydGeorge's National Insurance Bill forbidding the levying of distress or tho taking of proceedings of ejectment against a person insured if in receipt of sickness benefit payments. Speakers at a meeting of tho association complained that tho clause would force them to givo free lodgings to sick tenants nnd would be certain to encourage malingering. A SOCIALIST COMPLAINT. (Rco. June 1, 11.5 p.m.) London, June 1. A manifesto issued by the Social Democratic party declares that tho-National Insurance Bill carefully safeguards the capitalists. The party declares that there ought to be no contributions by workmen.
