' At the inquest to-day on the chemist's manager, who was found dead in his shop on Sunday night, the evidence van to the effect that deceased was somewhat addicted to liquor and had been drinking in company with a- prohibited person who underwent a severe cross-examination at the inquest. The following ■.rerdict was returned by the. jury:—"Wo are of opinion that deceased took a. drug, probably strychnine, to tone- himself up, and being somewhat under the influence of liquor, he took more than he intended to, and was accidentally poisoned."
