There is immense excitement throughout France in connection with the l'aris-Kome-Tiirin aeroplane, race. There was a terrific crush at Lyons to witness the completion of one stage of the race. A soldier and two women were killed. One of the competitors, M. Vidart, missed the aerodrome at Lyons, and as rockets failed to attract his attention, MM. Legiigneaux and Hanriot mounted a monoplane and pursued him, and brought him back. M. Beaumont has reached Nice, winning .£2OOO. M. Garros was second in reaching Nice.
