The Trevor Studio, one of the most up-to-date ohotographic establishments in the Dominion, lias just !:een opened in a handsome block of buildings in Willis Street, opposite Messrs. John Duthie and Co.'s warehouse. The studio has teen 'designed to meet tlio. rc(inirenienls of Ihe oivner, Mr. A. Trevor Craven, who has spent several years in London and Paris art studios in order, to thoroughly rnnin himself for producing portraits in oils or water-colours, us well as .'.-y, pliotograpliii; processes. In the main nhnlngranhic room the light can bo distributed evenly over a large group of persons, or be concentrated on the head of ono person at the will of the operator. The studio camera is a wonderful production of the camera-maker's art.. It is the first of its , kind that has been introduced into New Zealand. Tho lenses, have been made specially for the Trevor Studio by a loading' firm of lons-manufacturers. The studio has been decorated in a charming manner. The old-fashioned, awkward accessories are conspicuous by their nljsfiice. Portraiture is a specialty »t the Trevor Studio, the proprietor having made a. lonj study of this branch of art.
