VIVISECTION.
THE VOTE AGAINST LORD CROMER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Oopyricht London, May 21. Many women were among the support: ers of Mr. Stephen Coleridge's motion; asking Lord Cromer to resign his position as vice-president of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, on account of his being president of tho Research Defence Society, formed some time back to oppose the antj-vivisectionists. The vote will come before the council of tho society. It is possible that another general meeting will bo convened, or that all members of the society will be asked to say "yes" or "no" to the question whether or not the vote shall stand, it being felt that Lord Cromer deserves some consideration, because of the great services he rendered in tho direction of the protection of animals in Egypt while he was British Agent in that country.
